Fantasy League Almanac

Terms of Service

Effective August 12, 2026

These Terms govern use of Fantasy League Almanac, open-source desktop software operated by Kyle Dawson, an individual ("Kyle," "we," or "us"). By using the software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Eligibility and license

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. Source-code use is also governed by the license included in the repository. If these Terms and that license conflict concerning copying, modifying, or distributing the source code, the repository license controls those rights.

The service

Fantasy League Almanac processes fantasy-league information on the user's computer and can create a Google Drive spreadsheet in the user's own account. The current public workflow supports ESPN. Additional platforms may be added later. The software is not affiliated with or endorsed by ESPN, Google, Snowflake, Major League Baseball, or any fantasy-sports platform.

The public Google flow requests drive.file, creates a new workbook, writes the almanac, and - only after the user's affirmative disclosure - can set that workbook to "Anyone with the link - Viewer." An explicit automation flag may provide the affirmation non-interactively. Anyone receiving the link can read the workbook. You control whether to continue, whom to send the link to, and whether later to change or remove sharing in Google Drive.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for having authority to access and process the league information you provide; complying with applicable rules, contracts, and laws; protecting ESPN cookies, your computer account, local data, optional Snowflake credentials, and workbook links; reviewing the workbook before sharing it; and respecting the privacy and rights of league members and other people whose information appears in it.

You may not use the software to violate law, access data without permission, infringe rights, distribute malware, interfere with services, or misrepresent the software or its operator.

Third-party services

ESPN, Google Drive, Google OAuth, Snowflake if deliberately selected, GitHub, and other external services are governed by their own terms and policies. Those services may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue access. Kyle does not control them and does not promise that every integration will remain available.

No hosted account; suspension and ending use

Fantasy League Almanac currently has no hosted user account for Kyle to suspend or delete. You may stop using the software at any time, revoke Google access in your Google Account, delete local data, and delete or change sharing on workbooks in your Drive. Revocation does not automatically delete files already created, and deleting a workbook does not automatically revoke the Google grant.

Kyle may stop distributing or supporting versions of the software, or change future functionality, subject to rights already granted under the repository license.

Disclaimers

We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access to third-party services, or that generated statistics or commentary are free from errors. The software is for informational and recreational use, not legal, financial, gambling, or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations, so parts of these sections may not apply to you.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that may be brought in court must be brought in the state courts located in Kings County, New York, or, where federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Changes, severability, and contact

We may update these Terms for future use of the software. The effective date above identifies the current published version. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
